Hilton Wood spent 15 years at the Commonwealth Bank of Australia (CBA) — Australia’s largest listed company and one of the four major pillars of the Australian financial system. During his tenure he held a range of senior roles, contributing across institutional banking, financial services operations, and client relationship management. CBA’s scale — serving over 15.9 million customers across retail, institutional, and international banking — means that experience within the institution provides direct exposure to the full complexity of major capital flows, regulatory compliance, and sovereign-grade financial governance.

Following his career at CBA, Hilton was appointed Chief Representative Officer of Doha Bank in Australia — a position he held as Doha Bank formally established its Sydney representative office. The appointment — alongside the NSW Deputy Premier at the time of the office opening — represented a high-profile expansion of Qatar-Australia banking ties, with Hilton serving as the senior representative responsible for building the bank’s Australian presence and facilitating bilateral trade and investment flows between the two countries. He also held positions at Arab Bank during this period, further deepening his Middle East and international banking relationships.

Hilton served as President of the Overseas Bankers Association of Australia (OBAA) for four years — a non-profit organisation founded in 1984 that connects overseas banking and finance professionals with Australia’s banking, commercial, and government communities. As President, he chaired the body’s committee, organised networking events and educational forums, and served as the senior liaison between international banking institutions and the Australian government financial community. This role embedded him at the intersection of Australian banking policy, government relations, and international capital flows.

Hilton now operates through Kanebridge Ltd, providing specialist banking and financial consulting services. His consultancy practice focuses on areas including interest rate risk management, balance sheet strategy, capital and liquidity advisory, and Australia-Middle East commercial facilitation. He holds a Master of Management from MGSM (Macquarie Graduate School of Management) — one of Australia’s leading business schools.

Hilton co-founded iQuant Fund alongside Adrian Campbell, contributing his institutional financial networks and banking governance experience to building a fintech platform that successfully completed its Series A funding round. His involvement in iQuant — and his stated focus on institutional partnership standards and financial transparency — reflects a consistent professional commitment to the governance and accountability frameworks that make financial products credible to sophisticated counterparties.

As CFO, Hilton Wood oversees all financial operations of Kinnara Capital — including capital structuring, investor fund management, banking relationships, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance across the group’s multi-jurisdictional operations. His institutional banking background and government-level relationships in Australia provide Kinnara Capital with the financial credibility and oversight infrastructure that international property investment demands.
